From Britain to Bocage: The Story of Cuisine Errante

In 2020, we packed up life in Britain and landed in the Mayenne countryside — a family, a dog, a van, and a stubborn belief that great cooking shouldn't stop at borders.

Cuisine Errante means Wandering Kitchen, and that's exactly what we are. We roam the lanes of north-west France with handmade pies, slow-smoked meats, Indian feasts, and jars of sauce you won't find on any supermarket shelf — food made the way it should be: with time, care, and ingredients sourced from the French countryside around us.

We're not just passionate about food — we take safety and quality seriously too. Emma holds a certified food hygiene qualification and everything we do follows HACCP principles, because good food starts with doing things properly.

We turn up at your village square, your farmers' market, your private celebration — and we bring the same attention to detail whether we're serving a hundred portions of pulled pork or handing over a box of steak and ale pies for your weekend.

Our savoury range is rooted in British comfort food done properly: flaky-pastried pies, sausage rolls worth arguing over, and pasties that don't apologise for themselves. Our event menus go further — Indian curry nights, BBQ feasts, Greek spreads — all built on French-grown produce from producers we actually know.

What we don't do is shortcuts. Everything is made from scratch, designed to reheat beautifully, and packed with the kind of flavour that makes people come back the following week and ask if you've got any left.

We believe the best food brings people together. Come find us.
